This month we delve a little deeper into the life of one of our fantastic chef´s from Empire Modern British Restaurant & Steak House, Ian.

Favorite Empire Dish: Although Ian is not usually a big fan of beef, he can´t resist our delicious signature dish, Empire beef wellington!

A little more about Ian:
Surprisingly Ian´s first dream job was actually to become a policeman, but when it became apparent he would never make the 6 foot 1 height restriction that applied at the time, he decided to incorporate his passion for cooking into a career. Since then Ian has never looked back.
Ian has worked in many restaurants all over the UK practicing and perfecting his craft, including Restaurant Lettonie in Somerset with 2 Star Michelin Chef Martin Blunos where his passion for cooking hit boiling point.
Ian then decided to broaden his horizons and moved to Tenerife in 2004 for what he thought at the time would be a fairly short stay; he has been here ever since.
Ian has worked with us since the opening of Empire in November 2012, and has recently become a very proud daddy to his beautiful daughter Poppy who is now 4 1/2 months old. When not enjoying his time off with his girlfriend Lauren & daughter Poppy Ian loves having a game of football with his mates.
Ian loves working with the team at Empire, and is looking forward to being a part of the Venture Restaurants chain for many years to come!
