This month´s recipe of the month is especially designed for all the dessert lovers out there.
We have chosen the newest edition to our dessert menu at Empire Modern British Restaurant & Steak house the mouthwatering Vanilla Cheesecake!
Here’s how you can make your own version at home!
Ingredients:
250ml Double Cream
250ml semi whipped Double Cream
300 grams of cream cheese
150 grams caster Sugar
Vanilla essence
1 pack of digestive biscuits
200 grams melted butter
100 grams toasted almonds
Method:
Crush 1 packet of digestive biscuits and mix with 200 grams of melted butter. If desired add 100 grams of toasted almonds, combine all ingredients and spoon into the bottom of a circular tin. Place the tin in the fridge to chill for approximately 15 minutes. Meanwhile mix the Double Cream, Cream Cheese & caster sugar into a bowl and stir until smooth, then add vanilla essence and the semi whipped cream & Mix together.
When the base is hard remove from fridge and smooth the creamy mixture onto the biscuit base. Place back in the fridge for 2 – 3 hours to chill. Garnish with strawberry’s for that extra wow factor and enjoy!
