It gives us immense pleasure to announce that our restaurant, Kensei Contemporary Japanese, which is a part of Venture Collections, has been awarded the highly coveted Guía Repsol Sol at the Guía Repsol Gala in Alicante. This award is a recognition of the finest culinary experiences in Spain, and we feel honoured to have been acknowledged amongst such prestigious company.
The Guía Repsol Gala was held in Alicante and was presented by Silvia Abril. The menu for the event was prepared exclusively by women, specifically all the chefs with Soles from the Valencian Community, which has the highest concentration of female Soles in Spain. It was a remarkable event that celebrated the best of Spanish cuisine.
Kensei Contemporary Japanese was not the only restaurant to be awarded a Guía Repsol Sol. Five other restaurants in the Canary Islands, including Nub, Taste 1973, El Secreto de Chimiche, Muxgo, and Bevir, were also recognized for their exceptional cuisine and commitment to excellence.
Partner and head chef, Victor Planas, has more than 22 years of experience in Japanese cuisine. He has combined his passion and extensive knowledge to create a unique menu that is exclusive to Kensei Contemporary Japanese. Chef Planas uses only the highest quality ingredients to craft his sensational creations, which celebrate the vast range of flavours, colours, and aromas that define Japanese cuisine.
