Kensei Contemporary Japanese Celebrates Second Anniversary

It’s been two extraordinary years since we embarked on our journey at Kensei Contemporary Japanese. As we celebrate this remarkable milestone, we reflect on the vibrant flavours, innovative creations, and the unforgettable experiences that have defined Kensei’s identity. 
 
The night of our anniversary celebration was nothing short of spectacular. Partner and Head Chef Victor Planas curated a sensational menu that showcased his passion for Japanese gastronomy.  
 
Among the exclusive dishes that graced the occasion were lobster kobujime, oysters with sunomono and fingerlime, cured seabass in achiote, edamame, jalapeño purée and nori powder, negitoro tartar with barnacles, sea urchin and codium seaweed, and Canarian bonito tataki with smoked tofu cream, tomato seeds and tsukemono green chickpeas.
 
These culinary marvels were just a glimpse of the magic that Victor conjures within the Kensei kitchen. 
 
Each guest was greeted with a glass of Ruinart Brut champagne, a toast to the shared moments and the boundless passion that have fuelled our journey. To all those who joined us and those who have been part of our story, we extend our heartfelt gratitude. Your presence has made our adventure even more memorable.

Victor works with only the most prestigious brands such as Aquanaria, Balfegó, Artic Crab, Zar caviar and Nordic Wasabi.
