There was more than good food on the menu at Bianco Ristorante Italiano & Cocktail Bar when Helping Hands raised 2,330 euros at their charity lunch in the Safari Centre in Playa de Las Americas.
The money will go to the Guardyl children’s home in Granadilla and La Laguna’s Martha Dos Centre which supports children with cerebral palsy, thanks to the generosity of the 140 diners.
The group were greeted with a champagne reception followed by a delicious four course meal with wine, and entertainment from Doug Brown and his Michael Buble act. This was followed by a fabulous raffle and auction which had the money rolling in.
Javier, one of the Martha Dos children, enjoyed the day so much that he said a few words of thanks over the microphone, much to everyone’s delight. The money will be spent on a memorable Christmas for all the children, enabling staff to buy them presents, stage a festive party, and get them new clothes.
A delighted Liz Montague from Helping Hands said. “Thank you to all who supported Da Cotta McKenna y Santafe, TIBU, Sunway Estate Agents, Bianco Ristorante, Thai Botanico, El Molino Blanco, Mark Thornton who gave up his day to take photos, and far too many more to mention. Thanks for all your continued support and I look forward to the new year, when I plan to hold more events to help the less fortunate on the island.”
Bianco Ristorante, part of the Venture Restaurants group are always pleased to cater for any size party and meet any special needs they may have. Liz Montague from Helping Hands reflected on the charity success. “ I can always rely on Bianco’s for a fabulous meal and the staff worked so hard and professionally throughout the day.”
