Guia Repsol Comes to Kensei

Venture Group Tenerife, Victor Planas and his team at Kensei Contemporary Japanese were delighted recently at a visit by Almudena Martin, prominent food critic and writer for Guia Repsol – a Spanish version of the Michelin Guide which seeks out places of gastronomic importance or significance.

Along with photographer Sofia More, Almudena immersed herself in the complete Kensei experience, enjoying the fun, interactive and meaningful take on Japenese culinary purism that chef Victor has brought to the restaurant scene in south Tenerife.

During her visit to Kensei Contemporary Japanese, which is situated in the prestigious Bahia del Duque Hotel, Costa Adeje, Almudena delved deep into the menu starting with cocktails before enjoying a kaleidoscope of colour, taste and texture with dishes that included sake clams, amberjack, Tsukemono salad, sashimi, nigiris, scallops, wagyu beef, delicate desserts all paired with a selection of carefully chosen wines and sake.
